A couple of new things on the menu this week. We will avoid rice & beans, which we have been eating almost to the exclusion of anything else during our time in Cuba! The alternative has been omelettes or fried eggs. No criticism here: being vegetarian in such a country is an anomaly. If it was not suffering from a commercial embargo, there would probably be more choice, both for meat-eaters and vegetarians.
Anyway, here is our weekly menu:
Aubergine & courgette flans (new!)
Tomato & olive quiche (new!)
Red pepper soup
